Creating a classroom version of Shark Tank is one of the most memorable learning experience I have every created for my students. I've learned that this real-life learning experience can be a valuable tool for helping students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, inspire creativity and collaboration, and cultivate a growth mindset while providing a real-world lesson on problem solving and critical thinking.

Shark Tank in the Classroom Activity Bundle

One of the main benefits of a classroom version of Shark Tank is that it allows students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. If you've never considered implementing entrepreneurship in your classroom, I encourage you to consider giving it a try. By taking on the role of entrepreneurs, students learn how to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to problems. They also learn how to take risks and think outside the box, which are essential skills for entrepreneurs. Additionally, students learn how to pitch their ideas to potential investors, which can be a valuable skill in any field, not just business.

If you're new to entrepreneurial thinking and not sure how to start cultivating and engaging experience in your own classroom, I've created a resource that will walk you through, step-by-step, 5 lesson activities and games to get your started right away.

Business Lesson Plans and Games for Entrepreneurship in the Classroom

I've discovered that hosting my own classroom version of Shark Tank is a great way to inspire creativity and collaboration. Students are encouraged to work together to come up with new ideas, which can be a great way to cultivate teamwork and creativity. Additionally, by working together, students learn how to communicate effectively and negotiate with one another, which are important skills in any profession.

Facilitating your own classroom Shark Tank experience can also help students cultivate a growth mindset. How often are we as teachers encouraging our students to take risks, to try something new and set the fear of failure aside. I've learned by taking on the role of entrepreneurs, students learn how to effectively handle failure and rejection and use it to produce even better results. They learn that failure is a natural part of the process and an opportunity to deepen our learning. Experience like these help students develop a growth mindset, which is the belief that with effort, they can improve and achieve their goals.

Shark Tank Projects for the Classroom

An even more obvious benefit of Shark Tank in the classroom is that it provides a real-world learning experience. By simulating a real business pitch, students are able to apply what they have learned in the classroom to a real-world situation. This helps students understand the relevance of what they are learning and makes the material more engaging.

Creating a classroom version of Shark Tank can be a valuable tool for helping students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, inspire creativity and collaboration, and cultivate a growth mindset while providing a real-world learning experience. It's a fun and interactive way to teach students about business, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It can be a great addition to any classroom curriculum and it can be tailored to any level of learning.
